Thinking a cab would be nice for blowing snow this winter with my B-7510. Has anyone researched the options for a cab?...brands, price, soft vs. hard side? Kubota's new cab? Has anyone bought one?

The two brands that you mentioned are the number one sellers and the soft side is the most common sold with heat. ....

Just finished istalling a Curtis Soft Side on our 7810. The dealer told me 10hrs. Took us about twice that, with modifications to the hydraulics and a custom wiring harness. The installation instructions that came with the cab are almost useless. I think they have the younger members of the Curtis family employed to take care of the instructions. I've seen instructions translated from Chinese that were better put together.

Very nice product though. Fits the tractor extremely well. We had added all of the 2910 fenders and body panels last year, so the fit-up was really nice. Pay the extra money for the hard rear window if you go with the soft side. The soft rear window leaves a little to be desired. We are fabricating our own hard rear panel. ....

Call or write a letter to Curtis telling them about the problems you encountered with their installation instructions. Poor technical writing is an epedemic in engineering and design fields. Sometimes it comes from a lack of customer perspective and other times it goes all the way down to basic grammer skills. Make sure to clarify that you like their product, it's just the instructions that need improvement. ....

It just so happens we are currently mounting a couple right now. The only problem that can be addressed real quick is to take a magic marker and cross out everything for the other 8 tractor's it fit's so you can focus on the model you are working with! ....
